Perillo's Napoli!
Stephen Perillo's sense
of humor shines
through on Napoli! with the Italian-American
title piece, which transports one right to, well,
maybe not Napoli, but certainly Coney Island
in the twenties and his equally amusing Hangoverture
composed for a performance on |

January 1, 2000. It's
something about the descending glockenspiel that is
reminiscent of the County Fair… On a more serious
note, his first piano concerto and Antique Suite,
deal with deeper emotional content. But for fans
of fun, the mischievous carnies still pop up
occasionally.
